Betty Malo has been actively creating art for the past two decades. Rich in natural materials, her work combines all elements of the earth with heavy metals, adding a Midas touch to each canvas.
Malo applied her original gilding techniques to leather, which ultimately set the stage for her line of jewelry and accessories, Betty Badd Couture.
Malo’s designs have brought her acclaim both regionally and nationally. Now regularly worn by A-list celebrities, musicians, performers and collectors, she was most recently selected as MTV’s designer of the year at Las Vegas’ Magic trade show.
LY designs now has it’s own Facebook page. It's a place where friends can go to see what I do in the wee hours of the morning, see my new work and a place for you to go to express your opinions. It’s another way to put my work in front of as many people as I can to increase my business. Please share my fan page with your friends. Either way, it's just another way for us to stay connected.
It was an honor to be asked to design this piece for my very good friend and Brentwood's own internationally exhibited artist, Paul Harmon. Crossing Borders is an exquisite 360-page monograph on the paintings of this internationally exhibited artist. The book includes 650 photographs; 526 selected paintings reproduced in full color from five decades, covering the years 1961 through 2009.
Come join us for an Artist Reception and Book Signing for Harmon's new book on Sunday, April 18 from 4-6 PM at Sunset Grill in Hillsboro Village. The public is invited to view the art and celebrate the life works of Paul Harmon. Crossing Borders will be available at a special price for a limited time. Books may be purchased at the event. Please drop by.
In February, LY designs and Jive Printing were honored a silver and gold Nashville AAF ADDY on behalf of a look book for the home of Luke Lewis, chairman of Universal Music Group. The Lewis' reside in the Original Northumberland Estate formally owned by the U.S. ambassador to Denmark, Guilford Dudley Jr.
The vision for the brochure was to embrace the 1930's Hollywood flair of the home itself and its decor. If you had the privilege of viewing the Lewis home you truly experienced charm and elegance. As you carried with you our brochure, we provided you with a lasting reflection of that same grace and elegance, provided throughout with special detail.
Jive Printing won a gold for this piece and it was the first gold AAF Gold in Nashville to be chosen in the digital print category. Congratulations to Jive Printing who always go the extra mile for their clients. You are so appreciated.
